So, About Me…

Hi! Finding a therapist can feel a little like online dating—so let’s make this easy. I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can show up exactly as you are—messy, overwhelmed, overthinking, grieving, stuck, confused, or just trying to figure out what the heck comes next. Life is complicated enough without feeling like you also have to perform “being okay” in therapy.

I work with the overthinkers, the overwhelmed, the perfectionists, the people navigating big changes, and anyone who has ever thought, “I should probably talk to someone about this.” I take an individualized, eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from CBT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy, ERP, REBT, and ACT. Together, we’ll figure out what feels most helpful for you—sometimes it’s about slowing down and understanding where something comes from. Sometimes it’s about sitting in the uncomfortable stuff together until it feels a little less uncomfortable. Or sometimes its about challenging the thoughts and behaviors that may be keeping you stuck.

I work with teens, young adults, and adults, with a focus on anxiety and overwhelm, OCD, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I also have a particular interest in grief and loss of pets, which can be deeply significant and distressing, yet sometimes overlooked or misunderstood by others. The relationships we have with our pets can be some of the most meaningful in our lives and the loss of that relationship can leave a very real hole behind.

I have a particular soft spot for college students and young adults navigating the strange, exciting, and sometimes overwhelming transition into adulthood. Whether you’re trying to figure out who you are, what you actually want to do with your life, how to enter the workforce without losing your mind, or how to manage all the expectations that seem to come with being a “real adult,” I’m here for it.

And yes, I do consider myself a soft and squishy therapist. I value warmth, humor, authenticity, and creating a relationship where you feel genuinely known and accepted. I want you to feel comfortable enough to bring your whole self into the room—not just the polished version.

But here’s the thing: soft and squishy does not mean I won’t challenge you. I absolutely will. I’ll gently call you out when I think you’re getting in your own way, encourage you to try something uncomfortable when it might help, and help you notice the patterns that keep showing up. I’ll do it with compassion, curiosity, and probably a healthy dose of humor.

At the end of the day, I see therapy as a partnership. My hope is that you leave therapy feeling a little more understood, a little more confident, and a little less stuck. We’ll make space for the hard stuff and find some humor where we can. Together, we’ll figure out what’s getting in the way and work toward creating a life that feels more like yours.

Cooking & eating yummy food are activities I enjoy, & I believe there is always room for dessert!

Horses have been part of my life since I was little. They are a connection to my late grandfather, Warren, and have both helped me through (and sometimes caused) the most challenging moments in my life.

I am not always the most adventurous but I look forward to summer lake days and have surprised myself with enjoyment of fishing!

Creating Happy

The socially anxious girl in me wants to skip this tidbit about myself, but there is also a proud girl in there too! When I was younger, I struggled with intense social anxiety and I felt very alone in my struggles. As I went through high school, I began to realize I wasn’t so alone in that anxiety. I decided to write a book with the hopes of helping others feel less alone in their struggle with anxiety and it was in my writing that I chose my path to become a therapist!

After publishing my book and graduating high school, I attended the University of New Hampshire majoring in BA Psychology and received my Master’s of Social Work degree from the University of New England.
